  • Daniel: an inspiration

last couple of days I started to read Daniel in my private time with Papa.

I am amazed. On how he could live his life pure and fully dedicated even under such circumstances. He is an inspiration for me.

He decided, through his commitment, to not giving-up even to the greatest pressure facing our days. He’s not giving up, even when his life is on the way. I also admire Sadrach, Mesach, and Abednego, whose faith were as equal as Daniel did.

Compare to my situation now, with the pressure I (contemptuously) carry on my shoulder, I am nothing. Of course it’s not a good thing to compare me to them. But I shall learn from their life experiences.

they don’t give up on pressures. they are loyal. they have pure commitments and life in His eyes.

things I lack of: I whine on pressures, I am trying super-hard to be loyal, and I still half-heartedly committed to His plan, let alone having a pure life…

the thing is I am aware of, and I should be thankful for it. Because not everyone whose in my position get the privilege to realize that they do wrong things.

in last couple of months, I have been ranting you all with my writings of whines. be it poems, desperate notes, or things similar, there is nothing better to define them as whines.

I am learning a lot in the last few months, actually. and there are things I should have been celebrated because those things taught me a lot. it’s only about perspectives.

something could be a problem or a chance it always depends on which perspective do you use to see it.

Sadrach cs were forced to kneel their knees down on stupid big statue, but they refused it; and got thrown to the fire.

Daniel were forced to stop seeing Father, and were thrown away to the cave of hungry lions.

They must be in such a pressure to give the answer! first of all, because they were all under the government of Nebuchadnezzar, they were just some people pitied by him therefore they could live well under his command.
second, they are the minorities there, and in order to live they have to obey the king and the rules. But they obey the higher rules of Lord, of course

That makes Lord sees their loyalty, and He became fond of them. He protected them in every step they were taking! He was paying their faith and loyalty to Him with big reward!
you know, even if Sadrach, Mesach, and Abednego were thrown to the fire; they were not dead. they didn’t even have any single blood spilled from their body. they were saved literally, and could take a round of walk inside the fiery room!
and so did Daniel, nothing ever happened to him in the cave, for Lord has sent His angels to shut the lion’s mouth to protect Daniel.

what I can take from the story is that: He is paying what we are giving. we never give any good to Him, nor what we’ve given was any use for Him. He sees our heart, and even our acts contributes nothing to Him, He is fond of that. and He gives much bigger reward for our loyalty.

in other words, if we keep depending on Him in any troubles that we are facing, in any pressures we are having, He has His own ways to protect us and even more, He could take us high to the mountain, more than we could ever imagine.

so, if that is the case; what things should we scare of?

but as a lame-weak-naive human we do have fear in our heart. it is pretty much normal to have fear in our heart. but the question now is: whether are we going to give our fear up to Lord or not?

because it’s not because we are capable of, but only because His graces that we could overcome fears and problems in our life.

I learn a lot. each and every minute. and I am thanking Lord for giving me the chance to learn about Your works everyday.

I want to become not another Daniel, but I want to become a better Amelia with positive changes each and every day.
